Terms of Service
Terms for using Human Gateway.
Human Gateway provides privacy-first human verification, private verified-human auth, signed callbacks, SDK tooling, and partner operations infrastructure for selected early partners.
Last updated: July 2026.
1. Service overview
Human Gateway helps partner applications verify real humans, create private verified-human sessions, receive signed backend callbacks, manage projects and actions, and operate partner-scoped verification flows without requiring Human Gateway to collect personal identity data such as name, email, phone number, government ID, physical address, identity documents, or biometric data from end users completing Human Gateway Verify/Auth flows.
2. Early access and beta-stage service
Human Gateway is currently an early access and beta-stage service. Access may be limited to selected partners. Features, SDKs, APIs, dashboard screens, pricing, usage limits, onboarding rules, documentation, availability, and product behavior may change as the platform matures.
Do not rely on beta-stage features as your only control for regulated, mission-critical, emergency, high-risk, or safety- critical workflows unless a separate written agreement explicitly allows it.
3. Independent product
Human Gateway is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by World Foundation, Tools for Humanity, or World. World ID and related marks are trademarks of their respective owners.
4. Partner responsibilities
Partners are responsible for their own application security, user experience, legal compliance, data policies, consent flows, privacy notices, access-control decisions, callback endpoints, secrets, environments, user communications, and use of Human Gateway results inside their own products.
Partners must review whether Human Gateway is appropriate for their intended use case, jurisdiction, industry, user base, and risk profile.
5. Acceptable use
Human Gateway must not be used to mislead users, impersonate official World products, violate applicable laws, abuse platform infrastructure, bypass security controls, harvest data, interfere with service operation, attack other partners, or build harmful, deceptive, discriminatory, invasive, or unsafe user experiences.
6. No KYC, civil identity, or compliance replacement
Human Gateway is not a KYC provider, civil identity provider, government identity verification system, sanctions screening service, age verification provider, anti-money-laundering system, or replacement for legal compliance checks that may be required by regulated products, jurisdictions, or partner-specific obligations.
Human Gateway provides privacy-first proof-of-human infrastructure. Partners remain responsible for determining what additional checks, notices, consents, or compliance measures are required for their own products.
7. SDKs, callbacks, and integrations
Partners are responsible for integrating the SDK correctly, configuring allowed origins, protecting callback secrets, verifying callback signatures, validating event freshness, handling idempotency, storing only appropriate data, and testing their own frontend and backend flows before production use.
Frontend results can improve user experience, but partners should use signed backend callbacks as the trusted source for persistent server-side decisions.
8. Security controls and account access
Partners must protect their login credentials, sessions, API keys, callback secrets, project settings, environments, and authorized users. Human Gateway may suspend, pause, limit, or revoke access when needed to protect users, partners, infrastructure, security, service integrity, or legal compliance.
9. Privacy and cookies
Use of Human Gateway is also subject to the Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy. Partners are responsible for providing their own user-facing privacy notices and consent flows where required.
10. Availability and changes
Human Gateway may change, limit, suspend, discontinue, or update any part of the service, including hosted flows, APIs, SDKs, callbacks, pricing, limits, Partner Console features, documentation, and operational policies. Human Gateway may also perform maintenance, security updates, or emergency changes.
The service is provided during this stage without a guaranteed uptime, support response time, service level agreement, or uninterrupted availability unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
11. No warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Human Gateway is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis during early access. Human Gateway does not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure against all threats, suitable for every use case, or compliant with every partner's legal obligations.
12. Limitation of responsibility
Partners are responsible for decisions made in their own products using Human Gateway results. Human Gateway is not responsible for partner product design, partner user communications, partner access decisions, partner compliance obligations, or partner misuse of verification, auth, SDK, callback, or console features.
